Leveling
Hi all,
I just bought a used '96 that is bone stock. I have a boat load of questions, but I'll just start with one. I've done several searches and asked some other owners in my area without a satisfactory answer, so here goes.
In trying to level the truck, why can't you just drop the back end 2"? Everyone seems to want to lift the front, but it already is plenty tall enough for me. I just plan on some relatively light 4X'ing and some towing. So what'cha y'all think? Tia

Re:Leveling
There is no reason why you can't. In most cases it would be a matter of taking out the factory spacing block and replacing it with one short, in your case two inches shorter. I suppose there are a number on factors why people raise the front as opposed to lowering the rear. For me I always like the taller trucks, so I went and raised the front. Also it might have something to do with the many kits available for this change. I don't recall any of the major 4x4 shops advertising a lowering kit.
