And let the Bombing begin!!!!!

Well I put a DPP 4" System on last Friday.

And today I ordered up an Edge EZ to get me by untill the Edge Comp comes out. It should be here in a couple of days, got it for $475.00, sound like a fair deal?

Now I still have to figure out what to do for guages. Really wish I could find a dual Pod that leaves the grab handle. Just might have to drop the money on a X-Monitor.

Plus I need to decide on an air box before the end of the month.

Remember both the TST and the EDGE fueling boxes will have Gauges built in if you really want to save that handle. Also there is a mount that replaces the cubby hole under the AC controls with 3 or 2 gauges. As for the Air Filter... look into the Scotty.

Re:And let the Bombing begin!!!!!

Ya I am leaning toward the Scotty just waiting for some more reviews to come in. I know the new Edge with have the controller with the guages and that is really what I want. Problem is that it sounds like it will be a couple months before it comes out. In the mean time I have to pull around 28,000# GCVW a couple of times and don't want to do it with out a guage

Also the Edge will not have a fuel pressure reading in it by the sounds of things and that would be nice to have. I think I may just go with a cheap EGT guage for right now and just put in temporary in the truck to get by and see what the Edge unit might be. If not for the $600 I would have a X-Monitor on order.

I rate my scotty 2 a 10/10 for performance and sound its a no BS add on that does what it says and performs as advertised. As for the fuel pressure get a gauge on that right away forsure. I doubt you will need gauges with an EZ towing.

Re:And let the Bombing begin!!!!!

I bit the bullet and got the xmoniter, going to pick it up on Friday. That 600 is tough to swallow although i get a bit of a break cause I was up there for dyno days. Adding the fuel pressure to the controller for the edge or TST seems so obvious to me, cant figure out why they dont. All well, I have been debating getting the box before the clutch myself since I havent heard of anyone having any clutch problems with it. I hate to drop the money on that though when I am just about sure Im going to want one of the timing boxes. Then again I read they are going to be stackable...

Re:And let the Bombing begin!!!!!

Thats what I here is that the new timming box will not raise the rail pressure at all. So you can run them both to get the best of everything. The EZ is 70 hp, I here rumors of the Timming box being in the 120-140 hp area. That said, if you stack them babbies together,

Oh ya, Batteringram, I forgot to mension that their in no cubby hole when you have heated seats and elec 4x4,

The CP3 pump doesn't appear to be any easier on fuel pressure gauges than the VP44 was. You can get fuel pressure off of the CANBUS, but its accuracy is questionable at best. I've seen 6 PSI swings between IssPro inlet pressures and the CANBUS fuel pressure reading.

Rod

Anyone know what X-Monitor is using for input?

What is the big issue, don't they max out at 15psi or so, doesn't seem that extreme.

Re:And let the Bombing begin!!!!!

Sounds like you need to get the X-monitor. Its a chunk of change but well worth it. 3 readings in 1 is nice to have. I think that the TST box will be out this summer and the EDGE box will be out a couple months after that... So you will probably end up with the TST Box ... I wouldnt want to keep an eye down on the remote anyways... go for the X-monitor...

I'd get the Scotty III.

I have the Scotty II on my 97 and with 300 injectors and #10 plate centered I can't get over 1100(maybe less?) with some "aggressive driving" but flat out racing.... well we won't go there!

Oh yeah mines in "hush mode" (no hole) till this Saturday at least! ;D

Re:And let the Bombing begin!!!!!

Not that Im antsy or anything ;D but I talked to Edge and TST on Friday. TST said they are expecting 3rd week to the end of this month unless something unforseen comes up. Edge said August was about the best guess realistic ETA for their timing box.
