Let the bombing begin

Alright!!
I just ordered some stuff from tst. I am very excited.
Right now my truck is stock. I ordered a set of gauges, boost and pyro.
I got a #10 plate and the 4k gsk coming with the associated goodies.

KDP kill kit is on the way also. I think this will be a good start.

Great start, do it all at one time and save your self some extra work.
Its a good time to bump your timming up to 15-16 degrees also. Your going to love the difference.

I just did the #10 plate & 3K gsk. My truck only lasted about 5 miles after that and had to get towed home. Sure did run like a raped ape for a few miles.

When you do your KDP be sure and follow TST’S directions on the inner case bolts. Mine where all loose. And check the torque on the timing gear nut mine was only 110 lb, ft. Be sure and torque it to 150lb,ft.

thanks for the tips. I am very excited to get the stuff from tst.
I have been reading a lot on timing the pump and it seems a little complicated. I know everyone says that after you do it once it is easy. It also seems that it requires some special tools. About how much would it be to have a shop do it?

Sounds like a real good start to me. I'm not sure what it would cost to do timing, but if you start looking around for shops to do it make sure they know what they're doing. I now alot of the shops around here look like this when you ask them if they can do your timing.

Thanks for the tip *****, I will be sure to pick the mechanics brain before I let him any where near my pump. I am a little concerned about my egt with this setup. I assume under normal driving conditions like highway speeds empty it would be just about the same. It would also seem to me that if I can now give it more fuel than it can cool that a turbo upgrade should be the next step. Or would a 4" exhaust be worth the investment? thanks again for the responses.

4" exhaust would make quite a bit of a differance, also if you don't have an intake yet that would also help lower EGT's
