Second that one D-Tec. All I did was go get tags. No inspection, no emissions, nothing. I have found tho that with the muffler delete and stock airbox gone the Deer and Elk seem to avoid me like the plague.

I read a thread on this before. I thought federal law recognizes a turbo as a muffling device. If the feds allow it, I didn't think a state could write a law that counter-acted a federal law.

I'm a LEO also and have always run true straight pipes, and most of the times stacks, on all of my cummins (and i've had quite a few) and have never had a problem getting them inspectes. as said before, the turbo is considered a muffler by the state of Texas so there should be no problems getting it inspected unless you live in a county that mandates federal emissions testing like Harris county and all counties contiguous to it.

I got mine inspected in Harris county two months ago. As stated before, strictly safety inspection. I had a bigger problem with my tinted windows than my stright pipe and exhaust!

Don't worry about it. Get your exhaust done and don't look back.
