Outside marker lamps, especially the red ones, are intense to say the least at night. I've done most of the outside lights with leds. I noticed no difference in the cab lights, but the rear markers WOW. I have the maxxima brand leds with 12 lights per marker light. I'll try to take some pics tonight. I wouldn't want to follow me at night.

Sweet, those are the ones I'm wanting...

Which did you use for the cab clearance lights up top? I'd imagine off-angle brightness is most important in that particular area.. They have so many choices in the 194 size.

I used the jamstraight hyper ambers with four lights per 194. With no reflectors in the cab lights they didn't change much. They've lasted over 80K miles.

That's because the semiconductor is a flat wafer and only glows on its surface.

Nice thing about LED's is they come on faster when you mash the brakes. At 65mph, they actually help reduce stopping distance because of quicker reaction time.

Does anyone's eyes see funny effect when looking at a moving vehicle with LED tail lights at night? I see kind of like a strobe effect.

Instead of a resistor can't you just buy an electronic flasher that flashes a set rate no matter what the load?

You could, but that would require more wiring than puting a resistor across the wires out by the light.

I have an elec flasher on my bike (1973 Honda CB750), IIRC it`s a standard two prong deal. It plugged right in to where the original one was and it works great, the old flasher would stop flashing at idle I guess due to the marginal alternator output of those bikes. I got it at my local NAPA.

yes they are leds and look awsom when i get some on my truck i will take a pic

untill then take my word on it but you want the super whites they look the best
