Thanks! I'm can reason things through fairly well, but I'm not a trained engineer and I appreciate it when someone brings more knowledge and experience to the discussion!

I would REALLY love a triangulated 4-link, but that gets pretty $$.

I'll probably be ordering a set of your bars when I get back to the Mainland and get my beloved truck back.

Thanks for taking the time to put up a long post!

Thanks Justin!

We appreciate intelligent guys like you to keep us on our toes - and I'm drawn like a moth to a flame into these technical mumbo-jumbo discussions. (thanks a lot Henry Petroski !)

... but what should we call them?

Let's see, Drag + Sled = Dred Bars
Sled + Drag = Slag Bars

Hmmm - what does everyone think?

I'd say the "Slag bar" name would probably be misintepreted as a commentary on your welding skills

How about something like "Xtra duty drag" to emphasize the beefiness?

Me, I'll probably end up with the bars attaching to my front bumper-- I like the longer bars

I think we're going to go with "Lazar Bars" for the time being - has kind of a ring to it...

We've already gotten orders for some to ship out by the end of the month, but the first set is mine... MINE MINE MINE !!!

Justin, when you're ready, we'll fab you up the Hohn Specials

Main reason I purchased mine was to reduce clutch chatter while towing... Just got done towing actually towing with these bars is much improved over stock, much less lean/roll into corners and driveline clunk is dramatically reduced while trying to accelerate or getting off the throttle quickly...

All of the traction bars we manufacture increase rear wheel traction and limit spring wrap, acceleration/deceleration driveline clunk and body roll in corners - great for the dragstrip, sled track or towing... while the handling improvement during normal driving might just make you forget you're in a 4 ton vehicle.

Their adustability makes it easy to tune the rear suspension to the task at hand, and they are available for any Ram in four different flavors.

So you just drill 4 holes in the frame on each side to mount the brackets to the frame?

There's also a couple of SS bolts on top of the heim for a total of 6 per side... and since my last post here we've added a 5th model to our traction bar lineup:

Monster Bars
