Two questions.
I was looking at Caltracs. How do you think these compare?

I was thinking of mounting the bars on the front edge of the bottom plate to keep ground clearance when off roading. What do you think?
Calvert racing said that they don't think they would work properly.

Can you PM with a price?

I think caltracs are fine for cars - but I wouldn't have them on any of my trucks! Some of the guys have used them though - they are better than nothing, IMO.

You don't lose any ground clearance - the diff housing is still lower.

Gee, I wish I had a nickel for every time someone said one of my designs wouldn't work... then I could just give the parts away!

I hope your not to upset if I use your ideas. I thought maybe I would use some jonny joints or some 1" hiems.

Either way those look great. Keep up the great work.....Jay....

I had another thought. My truck is 2wd and am not concerned about articulation. What if I did mounts that would accept rubber bushings. Like leaf spring bushings. Maybe it would stiffen it latterly.

In addition to improved cornering, these LazarSmith Traction Bars really smooth out the concrete hwy expansion seams.... and improve the control and the ride on washboarded dirt roads!
Was not expecting this added benefit! Well done XLR8R!

Slow Flyer - I would think twice about running traction bars if off roading in seriously rough terrain anyway...and my Lazarsmith bars are above the bottom of my differential.

Please put me on the list for a set. Any drilling needed?
When do you think they will be ready?

I've got some money coming in in about a month.
