You'd figure that with synthetic oil I wouldn't have that issue. Also, it's been doing this even when it was 70* outside and well after the engine has warmed up.

Brandon I don't think the shaft is bent cause when you watch it spinning while the engine is running there's no movement at all in the wheel except for a nice and straight spinning motion.

If the son of a gun's would email me back I'd be more than happy to buy it but they don't have a phone number to call them at. Just a fax and some email address's.

Pulled the down pipe off this weekend and checked the exhaust side of the turbo. No side to side play and no front to back play. No bent or damaged or missing fins. Started the truck up and looked at it while it was running and with some throttle and no wobble in the shaft. The whistle was still there with the down pipe off and it was loud as can be. I replaced the diaphram in the wastegate and that didn't help. Do yall think that it could possibly be the little hole in the weld on my wastegate that's causing this whistle?

Nah, I'm still thinking it's a whistle tip that someone dropped in your stacks.

As Bubb Rubb would say, whistle tips go "Wooo Woooooo"

I have to agree with Forrest on this one Tyler. If anything, sounds like it ate a powerjoke for lunch.

On a side note, I want to kill my neighbor that drives a powerjoke with an upgraded turbo. Can hear that thing half a mile away, and when he is pulling out of his driveway just about 50 yards from here, it is ear pearcing, IN MY HOUSE, WITH THE WINDOWS CLOSED.

inline6power, if it was a bearing going out wouldn't it have done it a long time ago when it first started making the noise and not 2000+ miles and 40 or 50 48psi runs with lots of unintentional barking?

Has the hole been there the entire time you've had the KSB-1? I suppose there's only one way to know if it's causing it...

It does sound pretty good

I'm still going with the hole in the weld. Did it get any quieter with the downpipe off (if you could even tell over the extra noise).

If it's just a small hole, it would whistle and get louder as the pressure increased.
