Thanks Bob - so I ought to keep the '05s current SW version until the S04 beta is released - or is the S03 beta still good through '05?

... and if so, this beta is the one that can't be reverted back as Stefano emailed?

Yes, no need software for thr S04 or S06 CR Smarty.

The S03 software is only for the 98.5-02 trucks.

Man how did we get so far off track?

You need to unzip the file using the software 7-Zip, the link is on Mads site, then you'll be able to see the smte. files.

Is the beta uploaded to the MADs site yet?

What's the SW version number of the Beta?

I finally got the update finished last night and truck feels a ton better power wise. It feels a lot smoother when taking off now. Previously when I would hammer it the truck would bog down smoke like a freight train, then hit about 10lbs of boost and take off like a rocket. Now the power comes on much smoother. Seems to smoke less, but it was dark outside. Also driving to the local truck stop I noticed that it seems to be that my transmissions problem of shifting in and out of overdrive might just be gone now!

Yup! Smoother power band would be my way of saying it.
Before, Smarty & Mach 6's were only comfortable on SW #5. Now #7 is great!. Still have yet to try #9??

I tried the new beta out last night (on SW8) and it is definately an improvement over the previous version. Very smooth on up to 3500. I still couldn't get past the rpm barrier though.

My rear tires are hating me for trying this out. I think they are alittle shorter now...

You also have to have the Smarty USB driver and the Smarty 7zip decompression utility on your hard drive.
