Yup! I follow you now. I admit I don't really understand how that all works. Smarty dies at 2900, tells ECM to start defueling, but doesn't interfere with TST Comp? It's a mystery to me, but electronics are not my game!
TST Literature says 4500 on the Comp PM3. Because of that I did not believe the Smarty started dying at 2900..... but with TST off, it surely did.

TST comp doesnt even know there is an ECM...
it reads boost at the MAP, sees boost and says, hey we need to dump fuel in via the wire tap connection...
i think that as the ECM starts cutting back on fuel, the boost pressure doesnt drop off (it just wants to maintain a certain level) so the TST comp is going to keep trying to add fuel...
Am I on the right track here maybe...I am just trying to think it out using logic...

Hey Brian & Rowland - what's your beta SW version#?
Bob sent me a new beta SW a few days ago (wondering if it's different than y'alls?)
If it's different I'll bring it Saturday!

I think it lists it in the Smarty window.... but I'm without my truck till Friday (bodyshop).
Heard the latest from Marco's outfit?.... if you upgrade to the new SW....can't go back!

Here's the e-mail.....
"Unfortunately the previous SW is no more compatible with the truck programmed with the new SW, we cannot switch back. Programming an old SW on a new one is dangerouse, the ECM could lock.

Couldn't tell you. We both upgraded off of Crotex's computer... at the last N. Tx. DTR get together.

Bound to disappoint some, but I like the new program.

Apparently there was a slight language barrier..... Stefano's comment was referring to the 3rd Gen Smarty only. So says Bab Wagner in a different e-mail.
2nd Gen Smartys can go back to previous program, if desired.
