Hey Mike,

Was there really almost a 90 degree bend in the DP like the picture shows?

Towed yet?

I have been looking at this exhaust system but waiting for someone to check it out. Have you had an opportunity to tow with the new exhaust yet. If so, how heavy is your trailer and was the sound too loud while towing. Thanks

This past weekend I towed with the new exhaust system. The trailer was 14 long with two four-wheelers (Sportsman 500ho and Grizzly 660) I'm not sure what the total weight is but, suspect it would be around 3000 lbs. The truck hardly new it was back there. I got a slight humming noise, not really a constant drone @ approx 1700 rpms. If anyone has driven from NC to WV you know what kind of hills I drove. I haven't had any displeasing sounds from this exhaust, but with that said I also don't tow as much weight as some do on this site. The guy who went with me doesn't know anything about our trucks and he had his window down most of the way so he could hear it.

I'll try to take some pic's today and post them in my album. To be honest I don't really think the picture on the site really looks like the kit I received?

i'm guessing you don't have before and after dynos, but what does your @$$ dyno tell you? any noticable difference in power?

The SS system looks like a lot of exhaust for the money.

My truck is all stock, but I think I'm going to install a fuel plate soon. My tailpipe is shot on my exhaust system and I have a new 3" OD tailpipe sitting in my garage that I had bought last year for my for my CTD. I'd really like to free up my exhaust for more power and lower EGT's. This exhaust kit is really tempting at this $$$, but I think it would be louder than I'd like. I'm tempted to cut out my cat (115,000 mi on it) and replace it with a 3 1/2" bullet style muffler, go out of it with 3 1/2" pipe into a 3 1/2" performance style chambered muffler and out into the 3" tail pipe. Do you guys think I'll gain much over the stock system, or will I be wasting the $150 I'll spend on the mufflers and pipe? I wish the tailpipe I have was a little larger (say 3 1/2") as I think this 3" pipe will become the bottleneck. If I spend the money for a 4" tailpipe and then add the cost to the 3 1/2" mufflers and pipe I had planned, then I could pay for the 4" kit. Although like I said, I think a full 4" kit will likely be a too loud for me.

Yeah, SOTP dyno says I gained a bit, which I wasn't expecting. First exhaust kit I ever bought that made a difference, but than again this is my first CTD. I mainly bought this kit to support future mods.

Mike D,
I was wondering what RPM Outlet's response was when you called them about the pipe thickness and the pyro bung missing?
