Just installed twins.....

I just installed a hx40 and ht3b, I have not yet installed the 370 injectors. Test driven the truck with the stock injectors, number 10 plate, I can only hit 10 psi of boost. I am guessing that there is not enough fuel yet to spool this combo. So the question that I have is does this sound right? Or is something wrong with the setup?

your 215's should be enough to get a little more than that, double check your IC boots and make sure everything is tight.

I had the stock turbo. Sometimes the boost would spike to 40 psi, but I tried to keep it around 35. On the egts I would let out at 1400.

Sounds like you have a pretty good boost leak. Double check everythin. Even what you think is a very small leak and wouldnt make a difference it will surprise you and could make all the difference.

I went back and tightened all the clamps. What are some good methods for finding boost leaks?

Get a PVC pipe cap about the size of the rubber intake tube and drill a hole for an air chuck in there. Inflate the system to around 15psi or so and you should be able to find the leaks if any.

Does the 40 have a wastegate?? Did you plug the boost line that was going to your stock turbo?? check the setting or try plugging the line (for testing) on the 40... or others have said.. check for leaks... You can try taking a PVC cap.. and tapping it for a air hose end.. and put it at one end of the system.. then cap off the end closest to the engine... If you have too... put some soap and water in a squirt bottle, and spray your connections/hoses...

i doubt its a little leak that you would find with a squirt bottle. it sounds like you are losing some big volume. the stock turbo is completely functional as it was before with a big turbo it has to pull air through first, it shouldnt drop that drastically in my opinion. i could be wrong. i had a boost leak on a wrx that i had when i put a front mount intercooler on (boot with no clamp) and it only made 6 psi instead of 16 and it was loud. not sure if a big leak would overpower a diesel engine and 2 turbos tho. good luck.

Is the bottom charger lighting? I have the same set up with small (45hp) injectors and I can get 70psi easily. What size turbine on the 3b?

Post some pics.

The 40 has a waste gate, i did unplug the waste gate line and plug the one to the afc. I did find a loose clamp, fixed that. Test drove the truck hit 30 psi and boom, blew another hose off. I need to get better clamps. Thanks for all the help. I am going to get the clamp tonite.
