Just bought a Smarty…..any advice?

I told myself I was going to wait on an upgraded tranny and studs but guess what……I did it anyway.

O.k so I have a 2002 Ram 4x4 with a factory 47re and factory head studs, 110K of “easy going” no drag racing or even towing miles (never used my hitch….DONT LAUGH!) and a tranny that has been serviced per the recommended intervals.

I DO have:

1. EGT, Boost, Tranny Temp and Fuel Pressure gauges
2. “New” VP-44
3. Vulcan Big Line Kit (1/2”)
4. Raptor- 150 Pump
5. Edge EZ
6. All the other stuff in my sig.

So I guess the EZ is a “pressure” box…..with no timing? Does this mean I can use the Smarty levels that add timing?

How high should I go on the settings until I upgrade the TC or the entire tranny…..assuming I don’t drive aggressively?

Will the Smarty produce any smoke with the EZ? If so at what settings?

Thanks for any feedback!

Tom

EZ has mild timing. When stacking with smarty use the no timing settings and you'll be fine.

Yea stay off the timing of the Smarty. Just use the EZ for it. Double timing = Grenade waiting to go off in engine.

I played with my Smarty with my Juice and on sw 9 It gave about as much smoke as the EZ on 3. (I had an EZ before my Juice)
Combined they will prob leave a good size cloud, but itll be easy to control. Smarty is fun for sure!
