Junk VP 44 or Not???
Well, I'm pretty sure my pump fried but need some second opinions! I'm pulling up the dreaded 0216 code for inj. Pump timing and a tremendous loss of power! However, When I'm driving down the road, if I turn my key off and then back on real quick, it runs great for about a half mile and then back to low power! Off and on with the key again and back to full power! I font know if possibly I might have a bad wire going to my pump or possibly smarty related??? Any help would be great!

Well, My pressure gauge quit working so that I haven't checked yet! I did take my pump off my airdog and put my buddy's on with no change! I also ran my airdog direct to my batteries for a short time to eliminate any short I may have had shutting off my airdog periodically! That wasn't the case! I put my truck back to stock with the smarty/cleared the codes and still get the 0216 code! What gets me is even at stock, turning the key off and on going down the road,I get full power for a short time!??

Well, I ordered a new injector pump that's suppose to be in next week! HOWEVER, the last two days I've drove the truck (several miles worth),it hasn't acted up once with no codes! Lol Gremlins??
Sure enough I cancel on the pump, it'll start acting up again! What would YOU do?

I've thought about unplugging my chip and trying that, will I loose my gauges though? J/A question, doesn't the juice have to be running for the attitude to run?
As soon as I got my dead pedal and 216 code I turned the chip down to 0 and haven't had a code or dead pedal since.

Sounds like the VP with the key off/on thing. Mine would get dead pedal, I'd turn it off rolling down the highway then turn it back on and no more dead pedal.
As somebody said, could be the edge but thats out of my realm of expertise. My Quad started acting weird about 2-3 weeks ago(odd cause its only about 2-3 months old). Anyhow, I unplugged it from the diagnostic connector on the block, disconnected the map and unplugged the wire tap. Plugged my Diablo puck back in and my Quad gauges still work so I can monitor egt, fuel, boost. Don't know if the edge will work like this or not.
