Jammer 3's and EZ... Good Combo??
I was thinking of buying a set of jammer 3 nozzles... or buying the whole jammer 3 injectors... I found a place where you can buy just the tips and swap them. Anyway, I was wondering how this combo/setup would perform on my truck?? I don't want the jammer 3's to be too much, but there again I don't want to get jammer 2's and wish I had the 3's??
Is anyone running this setup on their truck?? Any advice is appreciated...
Thanks,
-Ryan

Don't go with anything less than the 3's. I wish I had gotten the 5's For towing, the 3's are great. I am getting a little better mileage and the power was noticable, but since I won't be towing much anymore, I am really starting to wish I had gotten the 5's. If you tow heavy loads a lot, you should probably stick with the 3's. If not, go with the 4's or 5's. Just my .02

I have exactly that:
The EGT's are very controllable, at a WOT run to about 85mph 1250* was hottest it got.
I have a turnbuckle on my wastegate and im seeing about 30# of boost.
My mileage is about the same, maybe a tad better. I put a set of 285's on before I ran a full tank through it.
My only reason I went the III's was because I didnt want the rv275's. I actually got the stage III nozzles on accuautoparts.com for $207+$16s/h. Actually cheaper than the 275's. I just hope my clutch can hold it, I dont hot rod much but everynow and then I cant resist.
I run the EZ on the last jumper setting to try to remove some of the smoke, it was very very controllable on the first but, just trying to see what the mileage difference is.

Instead of the ez get a smarty, I have stg 5 nozzles and the original MAD ecm and as long as I leave my fueling box off temps aren't an issue. About 11-1200 is max, if towing heavy uphill you might get higher that but I would say you'd have to be throwin the coal to it to get much hotter.

Ocmechanx, how do you like your combo? hows the power and driveability? I have the Mad ecu and want to get injectors today, im just torn between the nozzles or the DDP 90 hp special that ends today I already have low mileage cores to send out, but I dont wanna end up doing somethin small then going back to redo it later, Thanks

I know I ll get ripped for this but Im glad I didnt go any bigger. I plan on towing alot this summer, either my 19 foot wakebaord boat or a 20ft cattle trailer(which can get heavy) The reasoning for this is solely I dont want to spend any money on a clutch right now. If I stay out of it towing and dont put alot of stress I Think I can save it.
This is just my situation, yours, if you dont tow, Go with 4's or 5's.

Every once in a while I haul an 18ft. trailer with a '68 bronco on it... but that's rarely. Otherwise, the only thing I haul is my 16 ft. river jon. Spring, summer, and part of fall is when I haul it for crappie and cat- fishin'; and duck hunting. But my jon boat w/ 50 horse is not that heavy. I have no worries about hauling it w/ jammer 4's. Oh... Occasionally I have too many beers and hook to the sled at the fairs!! LOL!! I was thinking 3's... but if you guys (whom have 3's now) don't think I would have any egt, mileage(provided the rt. pedal behaves) or excessive smoke problems with 4's... then maybe I will look for 4's. Will the 4's perform well with an EZ?? Also, if I have the back cover off of my EZ, as I'm looking at it, it is rectangular in shape and the 3 jumpers go from the center of the module => to the right. In other words they are on the right side of the module. Which jumper is which? Everyone always refers to the jumper #'s, but mine have no #'s. The way I described it is how it is configured. Is it Left=1, Center=2, and Right=3?? Or is it L=3, C=2, R=1?? Again, all three jumpers are on the right side of the module. Which jumper is best for stock application and which for jammer 3's or 4's??

I ran my comp on 1x5 tonight (same as ez) and the highest I could get my pyro was 1000*. I had to let off at 70mph because of traffic It is also about 20* outside here, so I'm sure that helped keep it cooler. I'm sure in summer with a load behind, it could get over 1200*, but you could easily control egt's with the your right foot.
