Jammer 2 or 3 nozzles

Ive decided that Im ready for some injectors. Im thinking of some of the jammer nozzles because they are cheeper and college costs to much money. I want as much power as is still safe with my stock turbo (until I can up grade). I hope to add some water meth to help lower exhaust temps. Would jammer 3s be too much fuel. I do tow quite a little in the summer. If I shut the comp off will exhast temps be safe. thanks

If your going to stay with the stock turbo and pull I would suggest the 2's. A friend had a set of 3's with a hx40/35 turbo and on level 5 of the comp he got real hot(1500F empty). On the other hand, personally, I would go big and control egt's with the right foot.

With stage 1 jammers and your comp on 5X5 you will be able to hit 1500-1600F in long full throttle runs. You will have to control EGTS like sleds said, with your right foot. If you plan to upgrade your turbo eventually go with the 2's or 3's. Stage 3's will supply enough fuel to get you well over 400HP if you get the air to burn it.

I'm having a similar problem with the stage 3 jammer nozzles I installed a few week ago. My EGT's are a bit higher than I would like to see them, even running around empty. I can hit 1250 pre-turbo easy, normally with my old 275's 1050F was it. I'm afraid to see whats going to happen when I hook up my 16K pound 5'er in the spring.
Would it be safe to say that if I was to upgrade my turbo from the stock HX35 that I could get my EGT's back to a safer level? And if I do upgrade what would be the best choice of turbo, considering that I'm running a Pacbrake and I don't want to give it up?

Believe the best you can do is a HX40/35 hybred...will help but things will still get hot. Talk to HTT...they seem to have some good choices... http://www.htturbo.com/
A new turbo and some of the new Mach 2 injectors from Don M. will drop temps back maybe 200 degrees. Nozzles are not the best way to control EGT's, in my opinion!

I have the Jammer 2's in my truck with DD's new Jammer turbo. With the COMP on 5x5 I am well over 400hp and the EGT's are very much under control. I use the truck mainly for towing a very heavy 5th wheel. I would not recommend going any higher if you plan on towing. The extra power is awesome. I pulled my 19k trailer up the Baker grade coming back from Las Vegas over 70mph with no problem. And my EGT's never reached more than 1250. We actually built this for a recent magazine article, and I was really skeptical at first because this truck is mainly for towing my rig. But after seeing what those guys from DD can really do, I would not hesitate to recommend them nor their products.

Go big and control EGT with your foot.

And there is nothing at all wrong with nozzles on your bodies. You dont need $1,200 injectors.

Mikelr, why are you upset with 1,250° ?? Thats prefect.

For the record, I have stage 4 BD nozzles on RV 275 boides (set of six was $258) and cant hit 1,300 without the TST on three or higher. With it on 9 I have hit 1,500 on a romp down the turnpike to 100 MPH litereally dozens of times. Short bursts like that dont hurt anything.
