Not sure, but I'll ask that question. What's the benefit? I don't know what they can and can't handle, so I'm curious, unless you're just talking about dings from road debris or something.

The filter is 30 microns, but there is a 5 micron filter out there. Since the lift pump and filter are still in place, I have no plans to use a 5 micron filter. I don't think there is a need for it.

Thanks to John_P, Banshee, Dieseldude4x4, Copenhagen Junkie and others, it went well, and I appreciate all the help!

Jack
Also, is the lower bowl avaliable in stainless or anything other than polycarbonate?
Also also, what is the micron rating on the filter?
Nice install - cheers.

Exactly, just better protection from road debris.[/quote]

Re:Jack's Pusher Pump Install
Hey....
That thing looks familiar... ;D. This was definitely a fun install... From running to the store to find the steel to mount it to scrambing from the pool of diesel fuel after the pump finally fired, and especially the special repair job ;D. Actually, Dieseldude, I did pull the plug on the pump after I yelled "Shut it off!! Shut it off!!" knowing good and well it's gonna run for the 25 secs, only, I didn't yank 'em until there were a few gallons of diesel on the ground :P. Also, the wires and everything were tied up securely after that picture was taken. Actually, that photo was taken before the truck was even started the first time because the ports are still in the wrong locations. As a note to all, the steel is hanging down like it is because there was no place open to cut it, but now I think Jack is going to have another plate welded on the front to keep the stones at bay. It's about as high as we could get it without bumping into the floorboard, and the crossmember in front of the pump protects it somewhat. This pump is the unit that ATS diesel is selling as a complete kit. It comes with the pump/filter, fuel lines, fittings, relay with all the wires, and of course instructions. The only hiccup we ran into was the misplacement of the in & out feed lines. Aparantly Standyne has a problem with their manuals because it was shown correct even though it was wrong. A call to Don Ramer (thanks Don!!) got us straightened right out and we were good to go (and the special repair project, too).
Glad the pressures are better Jack! Let us all know how they look with the comp hooked up. It was good seeing everyone, too! I'm looking forward to the next one!
John
