I shipped all my setups with uship.com and cost me approx $ 250.00

I just shipped my 5spd. back to Blumenthals. Illinois to Oklahoma, it was $140.00 through R&L Carriers.

My 5-spd is already out. NY is a bit of a drive anyway.

Finally got a hold of my neighbor. He did the swap himself in about 2-3 days not really pushing it. No lift, all on a garage floor. His truck is a 4x4.

Basically:
Steering column
Brake clutch pedal assembly
Transfer case
Transmission
Drive Shafts
Clutch / Clutch Hydraulics
Flywheel (I believe - danmed old brain)


He said he got all the parts from a junk yard in Bakersfield, Ca. They all showed up on a pallet. The clutch hydraulics were still connected, removed as a unit.

IIRC he said he had around $3200 into the swap. He also had to return is old tranny / transfer case as cores, but the ones he got were rebuilt / reman'd units (I think that is what he said).

Told me that it was not too bad of a job.

I did mine last year and have no remorse. When I drive around town for a few hours my left leg will start to ache but I consider it a part of the trade off. My dad has a 95 auto and we have pulled his 13,500 lb 5ver with both and the manual does pull better and he would rather have one but with his hip replacement he can't push in the clutch without any pain. I bought everything for mine from a local salvage yard for $1600, and bought the clutch from Olee Poole for $1,000. The salvage yard gave me a the busted transfer case for free so I swapped the input gear into mine. If you have to buy an input gear its around $250. Both my front and rear driveshafts fit the manual without having to modify them. If you need to modify them there is a place in Charlotte that will do it and will rebalance it as well. The swap is as easy as taking out the auto and putting in the manual. We took my auto out friday night and put the manual in sat morning and finished up around 3 pm. The only wiring is splicing the reverse light switch and the clutch petal in. I am only about 3 hours from Chapel Hill so If I can help find one just send me a PM.
