Unhappy Its just wrong

I Envy you guys with the 215 pumps A buddy put some 3k springs, and a #10 in his 215 pump'd 5spd 96 2500 4x4 12 valve last night. Man do i want a big pump Pulling like a freight train to 3500rpm's, and banging the next gear while mine kills over at 3k rpm's. The road was a little wet, and he has an open differential, and we couldnt get any traction until we got into 4th. Did I mention theres no sound in the world like a Cummins at 3500+ ? Oh well. One day when I get rich; ill put a big pump on mine Now if only I could get dad to swap me trucks(if he didnt have a 53 block ). Guess Ill just have to swap pumps; and maybe transmissions Now you lucky guys go have fun easily cranking 3500+. Is anyone on here successfully turning 3400-3600rpm's on a 160 pump? Mine still starts popping, missing, and smoking at 3200rpm's. its not a timing pop; its like a lack of fuel. is it just my small pump; or possibly a weak lift pump, or what? Oh well.

My 94 pulled up to 3400 without any trouble. The correct DV's go along way, ya know......but if you have the 160 hp sticks, it won't matter what DV's you have - it isn't going to be very strong past 3000 rpm.

if he wants the axles from our trucks he is not up on what he needs. the 60 in the front is worthless except to another dodge guy and the 80 in the rear gives up too much in ground clearance.
and it is not that hard to find a 215 pump, you need to get out and do some leg work but they are there.

Nah. We have a whole extra motor minus pump, and turbo in the shop. If either one of us have motor problems we have a backup

And I know for a fact I could find a 215 pump; Its just that my tranny wouldnt hold it, and I am getting ready to start college before too long, and cant put a built tranny, and bigger pump in my truck right now.

Doing burnouts and such I can hit 3500 easy but if im just drivin and going through the gears the tranny shifts at about 3200. Your problem is just injectors and dv's
