Beats building a new box. Polyfil tricks your subs into thinking they are playing in a bigger box, because it slows down the air going to the back of the box. Rumor has it you can increase your box size up to 14 % by using polyfil. Good luck.

THE WHEELS LOOK FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!! I'm glad I went with the 16x10's. They really set the wheels out and really show off the tread pattern. I do have some slight rub on the back lower part of the fender at full lock but I was expecting that. That will get cured when I do the lift. Quick question, my passenger side tire is about 1/2" closer to the back part of the wheel well than my driver side. So obviously, my axle is crooked. Yall think it's from the leveling kit and stock control arms? I love these wheels. The truck has a real aggressive stance now. Thanks for everyone's help. Pics will be up after this weekend.

Why use polyfil? Do you really wanna lessen the hardness of the thump? I dont understand why ywall wanna do that. People think it helps out and makes it louder. NO it doesnt it makes it not hit as hard. If the box is empty it hits harder because there is nothing inside the box to absorb the thump.Putting poly in will be just like putting a pillow in it to quiet it down.

Read for yourself. Polyfil does what I suggested it would. No more no less. It's about personal preference. A sealed box sounds pretty tight as it is, but sometimes they don't want to play the lower stuff like a bandpass or ported boxes.

Should work now. Anyway, I'm not trying to argue what polyfil does and doesn't do. Just trying to offer some help. Hope everything works out for you BigBlue.

Mike I'm just giving you a hard time. I've had experience with it and I know what it does. I'm just to lazy to unscrew the subs and put it in. Requires me leaving my La-Z-Boy.

Im not tryin to argue either but since I have been in COMP for 5 yrs now I have notice and even SEEN the difference it makes. We ran 4 1251T with 7K watts. We hit 173.25db. Guy with 4 1251T with 7K watts same setup and everything used polyfil because he was in a class that required it. And he only hit 166.45db. So it has a proven fact but i guess people wanna doubt that.

Once again Im not tryin to argue its just what I have seen and heard.
