The "Rattle" is not the fault of the gauge, And will eventually cause the gauge to fail! there are snubbers and isolators that will fix this problem!

Agree w/ L.
My gauge was dying from rattling badly for 6 months, back in 03. Just too much pressure to the gauge!
Was about to replace it when I heard about the 'needle valve' trick.
Did not replace the gauge and it has survived for 4 yrs!

i had hell with my guages, i had no space to run the wires down the pillar so i had to drill some holes, also i sheered the boost bolt off in the intake manafold so i just drilled and taped it, also i had a prob. with over tighting (i guess from the fuel going to the cab thing) and had to replace a the little fuero but so far so good. still nervouse about drilling in the exhaust manifold due to the shavings ending up in the turbo but everyone says its better than post turbo, what do yall think?

Three things I do when drilling a manifold, Put a Tranny magnet or similar magnet on the manifold next to the bit while drilling, Stop before going compleatly through and clean all the shavings off the magnet and bit. Take some high temp grease , (Reg. Grease gets to runny) and coat the bit in it, Punch the hole all the way very quickly! I Then take a small pickup magnet and get what i can, Run a shop vac over the hole and remove the tranny magnet. Some folks just start the truck before taping the hole, Anything such as tap shavings should be fine! Just make sure you tap on the back half of the manifold, Being its the hotter side (IMO)
