Isspro Exhaust temp guage problem
I just got a new set of Isspro guages, Exhaust, boost and fuel pressure. My problem is that the exhaust temp guage only moves to about 200 degrees and stays there. THe only change is when I start the truck and it will sometimes spike to 600 degrees or so. I have checked all the connections and everything seems fine, I also checked to see if the probe might be touching the manifold but it wasnt. Any ideas.

Sure sounds like its to ground! Had 1 quit on me and it was like that too-maybe bad probe! Check with ohm meter to tell and heat up with lighter to check output!

Check the connections on the amplifier box, and make sure you didn't crimp or ground out the wires from the probe to the box, and the box to the guage.
Isspro is pretty good about replacing bad guages if it turns out to be that.

I've had the stainless steel braiding on the probe ground out before causing a similiar situation, it was giving some real odd numbers for readin but what gave the problem away was it'd move to my blinker!

make sure you dont have the 12v power wire to a constant like the battery or something or it will never go to zero and will stay at 200. i hooked mine to the wire on the radio so it comes on when i turn the power on. when i installed mine a couple weeks ago it wouldn't read at all and kept jumping up and down. i pulled the connectors apart and looked at them and one of pins in the connector had got pushed out. look at your pins in your connectors if they all aren't sticking out the same distance take the smallest allen wrech you have and push the pin in until it seats and you cant pull the wire out.
