Re:ISC 8,3 in RAM

They're way too heavy. The 1000 lb ISB is already a huge load on the failry weak Dodge front end. I don't think they'd fit under the hood either. :P

Re:ISC 8,3 in RAM

Over on the TDR, I saw pics of a ISC in a Ford a while back. I think it might have been an F350 but I'm not 100% sure about that. It was sweet.

Banshee- I would think that the weight wouldn't be too much of an issue. If I went that wild I'd have some suspension mods too. These Dodge suspensions don't seem too good at Mach3 ;D

For me personally the mild bombs on the ISB are probably enough..

Thanks

AlpineRAM

Re:ISC 8,3 in RAM

Yeah on one of the diesel sights about a year ago someone had installed a Cummins 8.3 Mechanical C in a Ford F250 4x4, I think the weight of the engine was somewhere around 1300+lbs.
The conversion looked good too!

--Justin

Re:ISC 8,3 in RAM

The ISC is about four inches longer and 500 pounds heavier. The axle would take the weight but be maxed out. Gearing would be a problem, the rpm's are lower, killing the top speed. The six speed might take the torque. Might get somewhere doing a body lift and a little cowl work. The body lift would allow a larger trans like a RTO 6600. But why
