Is that 50 psi on 3rd Gen... possibly ? I read somewhere (factory info, I thought) that 2nd Gen Charge Air Coolers where 30 psi? The 3rd Gens do make more boost, or so I've been told.

I asked in Cummins about the rating in '95 when they said 50 psi. If it's gone up or down I have no idea. Most likely it's stayed the same.

Eric, I don't know about the pricing on them as there just being tested now, I'm not concerned with holding my pressure as they have been tested way behond that, even more so they are pressure tested then heated, what I'm going to be looking at is pressure drop across the cooler, temp drop and then the overall air temp at X amount of boost verses what it was at before. As you know I've been running Twins for 2 years this month and have had the air temp gauge setup for 1 1/2 years, I have more than a little data to compare with.

If it works out like expected you will see Piers invest allot of money (to me) into them so you the customer can get a better deal.......it's supply and demand.....nothing new!

I've seen the cut away's of the cores and they are more than a little better than a stock one, if anyone was at the PDR dyno days last year you got to see them too.

I'm not sure about that. I believe my shop manual and owners manual refers to it as a "charge air cooler", certainly more correct than an "intercooler".

Rip is using an intercooler he began selling a month or so back. 65 degree drops in temps over the stock unit. It is pressure tested to 500 PSI. It exploded at 550 PSI. Its one strong unit.

Did you get the white box I sent you Eric? LOL!! It left last week.
