Just drill and tap the manifold, then screw the fitting into the manifold. Don't use the Autometer instructions for mounting. Also, you're going to need a compression fitting crush sleeve that fits the thermocouple because the shoulder that Autometer put on the thermocouple will put the thermocouple in too deep. You'll also need another compression fitting nut because I don't think you can get the nut off the thermocouple without cutting the wires.
