Installing pyro soon, couple of ?'s

I have a gray interior in my 95 (not the darker gray charcoal color but the lighter gray) and the pillar I bought is black and needs painted. Where do you guys get your interior paint from? I searched and some people say the dodge dealer carries it but others say its been discontinued? Also some people mount their pillars over the existing pillar and cut it for wires, well can't I just remove the stock one and put the new one in it's place? And finally, on the manifold where's the best place to mount the probe on a 12v? Thanks

I bought my paint at autozone, they have special paint for that plastic it worked perfect. I removed my stock pillar and mounted the new one in its place but thats up to you. When you mount your pyro probe be sure to watch the falling medal shavings be sure they dont go in to the turbo and what not. I mounted mine on the start of the bend on the downpipe right at the exit side of the turbo. I think there is acctually a place for it if u look real close on the side but i didnt see it until i was already done.

Pyro needs to be in the exhaust manifold (pre) turbo, not after.
Measure back 2" on the ex manifold from turbo to manifold seam, then make a mark 5/8" back or foward from center of manifold andrill a 11/32" hole for 1/8" adapter or 7/16" hole for 1/4" adapter.
Just got done installing my boost, egt and fp gauges about 20 min ago

I would go on to Piers Diesel's website. They have a little drawing that shows you exactly where to drill and tap your exhaust manifold.

ok I got a question

everybody here says dont put your pyro post turbo

well I had to get a custom down pipe for my app. and the guy that built it welded a bung into the pipe for I went with it there and with a color coded pyro gauge

if it is such a no no -why do they make color coded gauges?

Just curious

Its not necessarily a no no but the fact is that the preturbo reading is much more accurate. If you go post turbo you are really only guessing at the actual exhaust temperature.
