Ok, I did the free GSL spring mod a couple hours ago...I have a 96 180 pump (Ca, EGR....but EGR eliminated). I can free rev the engine to about 3400, and it pulls to about 3000 then my boost rapidly drops from 38 psi to 20-23psi.

On the rapid boost loss, could that be my wastegate opening too soon? I have the vacuum line to it plugges but I am thinking I need to clamp the wastegate closed. HELP!!

 

pump is pulling fuel... need a real GSK

 

No I dont think it is pulling fuel, I can feel it pull all the way but then it just STOPS. It actually feels a little slower than when I put the washers in place ....I have a 0 plate and was pushing 45 psi before today, now I can only get 35-38 psi after changing nothing else.

 

Well apparently no one has ran across this problem, but maybe I can have your best educated guess? Anyone?
