I wouldn't run with the return line pinched off for more than a few seconds. Pressures over 45 psi are known to blow out injection pump seals and crack open fuel filters. I've seen the pressure zap a 100 psi gauge when pinching the line...

Ya, i probably will just try and replace it.

Should i gut the afc??? will if give me more power? smoke? of just hurt milage? also will it be good to block the wastgate on the turbo or will it damage the turbo and cause huge boost spikes?

u have 4.10's and a 5spd like me, I think the taller 3.54 gears would be the best performence mod for driving on the street. Because the 4.10's rev out so fast u really can't enjoy all the power because u gotta shift again in a second. I think the taller gears would be so much better because u can hold each gear alot longer without the revs sky rocketing each time.

Do a search for boost elbow, and afc gut and u should bring up the pro's and cons of gutting the afc. I'd reccomend some dv's to (thats my next mod).

I just ground my own plate ,put a boost elbow on and a 4k gsk.The only thing I did to the afc is position it full forward and crank the starwheel a bit.I didnt touch the smoke screw or spring.my truck moves like crazy now,40 psi is easily reached and so is 1300 plus egts.I think simply blocking off the wastegate is whats gonna help you,but look into a gsk ,I took mine for a rip with and without and the difference is night and day

There is a big difference in power with the plate full forward from mid way. I have never liked running my plate anywhere but full forward. just doesent run as good Slide that thing forward, and adjust the governor arm, and i think you will find quite a bit more horses. My truck dyno'd about 100 more hp at the wheels than stock with just a plate, so it should make a pretty good difference.

Yes, the 181's were a decent step up from the 131's. They dropped me right at a half a second through the 1/4 mile. And honestly, I couldnt tell a bit of difference in EGT's. If you can get ahold of some 215 injectors, they were a great little upgrade too. I installed them after the 181's, and dropped another half of a second through the quarter mile, with no noticeable EGT gain there either. Overall the 181's were a decent little upgrade though. I like the 191's, and i got a good jump over the 181's with them, but the pyro also moves much faster. havent been to the drag strip to see the real gain they gave me though. Hope this helps ya a little. I have done quite a bit of tinkering with this little 160 pump, just dont have the money to be throwing the big stuff at it yet, as I dont really wanna mess with the head gasket yet, and id say my transmission is at its limits

And just to clear it up, my dyno numbers are with stock injectors and DV's. I will be dyno'ing at the scheid diesel extravaganza this month, and will have updated numbers then

I keep seeing ( the afc full forwards) How do you do that?
I cranked the starwheel th ethe extreme front and the smoke screw all teh way in. The plate is in the middle toward the rear more.
But again AFC full forwards.
SORRY for bieing a post ****! I just like to learn as much as i can before i go messing with 1000's of dollars!
