After you get some gauges (Pyro, Tranny Temp, and Boost or Fuel Pressure), get your tranny work done. Then you can go with a set of Don M.s EDMs, and you will be all smiles. Get tranny done first, then you can experiment on which injectors fit your liking, and sell the others.

I wouldn't get to radical. For modest power and solid performance the 275 RV injectors have done quite well. I know a fellow here that just spent a bunch on up grades, including the EDM's and all is lost with the bottom of the injector missing. You shoud see the piston. Go little at a time and know where your heading.

Im familiar with the injectors that had the broken tip. First, those are not ours, they are modified stock nozzles. A dangerous practice if certain parameters are not followed. I have preached this for the past 2 years. The stock Bosch seat hole nozzle cant take the loading once you punch it full of holes.

My EDM tips are not stock Bosch nozzles and are stronger than even a stock unmodified nozzle by a factor of 3. They were desiged for up to 48,000 PSI. I knew it would be easier to just build 'em stout so no re-design in that area would be needed as injection pressures increased over the years, i.e. common rail, unit pumps, etc.

I have had zero injector or tip failures. This will never be a concern for anyone. Once you see one of these bad boys compared to a stock type/style you can clearly see the difference.

Hope this helps.

Don... this may be a dumb question but do you have a website, I am looking at your injector's and have only found information on other's websites? Thanks

Don,

Do you have an injector that would be an upgrade from stock but not too hard on the stock auto? (Driving style considered, of course)

Looking for a little punch until the tranny money comes in.

amartinson: Disclaimer: I am a happy user of the DonM Mach 3s.
I definitely think that you should upgrade your tranny first. The reasons are that the stock trannies aren't all equally well built, the stock TC struggles for its life behind the Cummins in stock form and doesn't get the power to the ground, and a rebuild on a burnt up tranny is much more expensive than an upgrade on a good one.
And with the upgraded tranny you can go to wilder injectors, bigger turbo(s), studs and all you like. (Depending on what you buy - consult tranny vendor about how much ooomph it will take)

Then go and make a package including stuff like an Edge Comp (or similar from other vendor) DonMs Mach XX, matching turbo etc.. All then

Don -

I am running a modified HX35 12 / HT3B 23 Twin setup. i dont pull anything really, and my main goal for the truck if 1/4 mile and street racing. My truck is a 01 EHT with an oring head, studs, ats, drag comp... all the standard stuff.

How big can i go with one of your injectors, get the most power (smoke doesnt bother me) but not peg my EGT's before i get through the intersection. ( I am currently running supermentals)

Thanks- Darin

Darin I was running that same twin setup on mach4s ran real good. I have since moved up to a 14cm top and 26 bottom housings with mach5s. You could probably use 5s with your setup but it will get warm . What kind of boost are you running? Tim

Mach 4's or 5's. Clean enough to daily drive with twins. Mucho power.

The ETH is good with 4's. The pump is volume limited somewhat compared to the ETC. I say 4's overall.
