Injectors and idle problem
Hello all,
I just had my EDM Injectors installed and valves adjusted. But now at start-up or if I tap the throttle at idle the engine throbs or maybe lopes as if it can't decide where to idle at for approx. 2 seconds. I tried resetting my tps and it's fixed it 90%. Is this normal Any response is great.

I put in Bosch RV injectors and they do the exact same thing you described. I asked the same question in another thread and the concensus is that it's a common issue with larger than stock injectors.

FWIW when I installed my EDM2s it had a slight "lope". It seems to have smoothed out now without any action on my part (other than just driving).
Note I had RV275s prior to this and did not notice a "lope".

The idle is controlled by the computer on the 24 valve engines. The idle can sometimes get a slight lope. Its a "normal" or "ok" condition. Not harmful at all.
I have had several lope worse the higher the elevation too.
If it is unbearable you can always step down a size in injector to help take some lope out. Seems the larger the injector...the worse the lope.
Hope this helps,
Don~
