Injectors- Formula 1 vs. DDP
Okay, Here's the deal-
As you can see in my sig the upgrades I am doing. HTB2 62/12, HTT pulse manifold, intercooler boots. I have a 4" turbo back exhaust, Scotty II, Comp, built up tranny.
WHAT I NEED TO DECIDE IS....which injector would be the best for towing apps with my soon to be set-up.
Below are the 2 contenders (in no order):
Dynomite Diesel 110 hp Vaporizer Stage 3 Injectors
vs.
Formula 1's Mach 2 105 hp injectors.
I have searched numerous threads regarding both injectors, and I don't think I have heard anything negative about either one of these injectors.
SO... any guys who have experienced these injectors, please give me your thoughts on what I should do.
Of course, Don and Ross are more than welcome to join in as well, and tell me what they think i should do. Perhaps even a different injector size.
This in no way is meant to start a war between the people that use these injectors. I just want data to base my decision on.
Thank you!

the DDP's will smoke more than the same size Mach...other than that both are equal in my book. they make great power, egt's are good, and the prices are comparable now. when i bought my DDP4's they were $300 cheaper for an introductory sale lenny was having. i went with DDP based on price and i am very happy with them. if i woulda had the money for the machs i would have gone for them, but i can not complain. ive gained roughly 170-180hp at the wheels with my 150hp injectors.

they are both great injectors and considering not many people have tried both (because they were happy with what they already had) It would be hard to compare. I love my ddp's as many people love there mach's. you've prolly chosen a good size as well.

Since you are wanting to tow I would honestly say Mach 1.6s would work great with that set-up and be a good daily driver/towing injector with mileage improvements. But I do tow with my 4s just not in the mountains.

That's a hard call. I have heard so much good about both. I personally only Mach injectors and I have had several sets. Each set has really worked out and done more than I expected. I say Mach because that's what I've run and it works.

With a 12 cm2 turbine housing, anything bigger than Mach 1.6's will be unusable for towing, period.
Depending on how heavy you tow, you'll still be turning down your Comp.
I towed 7000 lbs at sea level & level ground and had to 'drive by the pyro' with Mach 4's, big single turbo, and TST on very low setting. It was Texas summertime.. but still.

I'm gonna have to go the same route RJ is on this one Mike. The 360 Bosch injectors that I have equate to about a 125HP stick and they are too big for me to tow over 14K without watching the EGT's constantly. I have to lock out OD or back off the pedal to keep them in check. I do have the bigger exhaust housing so that doesn't help until I'm really laying the fuel to it, but I can't even run the TST while towing. Heck, Smarty alone gets me near 1300* when towing 14K on very slight grades.
Now, with the lighter loads.... watchout!!! I can turn up the TST and run, but I still have to be careful on the grades.

Good stuff guys!
Please keep them coming!
I initially was thinking Mach 4's, but thought the heat might be too much. Right now I tow with the Comp on 1x1 (p-wire unplugged), and it gets too hot pretty easy with the setup I have now.
It seems the Mach 4's will be too hot, since I don't want to HAVE to drive to the pyro.

Don't let these guys talk you into the 4's =P Rjohnson had the best advice in the thread.
I'd say get the turbo and see how towing egts are before buying injectors. You can always turn the comp up a little
