EZ + DD2s + HO + stock HX35W-12 + towing heavy 5th wheel = 1400 degF pre-turbo EGTs. As others have said, one can always mentally connect the right foot with the pyrometer - that's what I do.

As far as clutches are concerned, my stock clutch slipped the day I put the DD2s in. On the other hand, I'm on a first name basis with Murphy!

Murphy usually turns out to be *me*. IOW-- when things go wrong, it's because I screwed them up!

There's always going to be the part of me that wishes I had gone with EDMs for my first set. But injectors have come a LONG LONG way in just the last two years.

Think about it. A 125 hp injector (DD SuperMentals) used (2001 or so) to be considered VERY hot-- like only the wild bunch would run it on the street. The smoke liked nuts. Most of us were only "brave" enough for a DD2. Even the 3s were considered pretty hot in a street rig.

Now, we can pop in 150hp sticks and drive cross country-- no smoke problems, great mpg, not worries about the tips falling into the pistons and grenading the engine.

Isn't technology wonderful sometimes? (and I mean only sometimes, lol)
