Injectors, Edge Jammers or Machs??
Ok, I can get Edge Jammer injectors stage 3 of 100hp and 200#tq. for $675Or I can get Mach 2 injectors of 105hp for $800 The Mach 3 injectors are the only ones that say how much power they will support, they can support over 475hp and 1000#tq. Anyone have suggestions? I know I will need to match a turbo with it, and I tow a lot and have heard to keep close to 75 hp inectors when towing. What is your input? Thanks, just trying to put some lists together of next mods and prices

You should be able to get jammers much cheaper than that. At those prices I'd go with the Mach Injectors. Check this link:

Yeah, I was just using the figures from the companies direct. I found some on e-bay the other day for only a few hundred. I'll check that site out thanks!

Ok, on the edge site they show two different injectors and I can't really figure out what's different about either of them. Can you help me with that? edgeproducts.com thanks

You are probably seeing a price for a whole injector body and nozzle ready to install and then just a nozzle that you gotta install on your stock bodies. Just the nozzles can be found for under 225 to your door in the stage 3's. It is recommended that if you do the nozzles, you take them into a diesel shop to have them pop off pressure tested to ensure that they are all firing within spec, if not, they simply remove the nozzle, shim the large internal spring, put back together and test again.
Now if you want the best Jammer's possible, buy them from a local shop that flow matchs their nozzles. They do this by buying 10 set or so, assembling them at proper pop off pressures, then they flow match all of them to make up sets of six that flow the most similiar amounts of fuel, usually measured in liters per minute. A well balanced set of jammers is hard to beat. Now I hear that machs come flow matched and pop off pressure matched but I do not know for sure.
All this said, you can be really cheap, buy the 225 dollar nozzles, install them using a vise and wooden blocks to hold the stock injector bodies so you can remove and replace the stock nozzles with the jammer tips, then torque the bodies down to 28 ftlb and be done with it. If your truck idles fine, great, if not... live with it or remove them and have a shop adjust the pop off pressure for you ... prolly around 100 bucks if they only have to break down one or two injectors.

If the truck has over 100k miles I would strongly suggest you have the injectors pop tested if you go with the nozzles. 4 of my 6 needed shimmed badly. My truck idles a lot smoother now, even with the stage 5 nozzles.

The link I provided has the either the nozzles or the full injector assembly. City Diesel balances and tests the sets before they ship them. They are a diesel shop, not just an internet site. They have been around a long time. The whole injector is about $100 more than the nozzles alone. This is where I bought mine. They idle better than my old stockers, and I believe it's because they were tested and balanced. But hey, I'm no expert, I just thought I could save the guy a few bucks.

with some of the injectors being produced today i wouldn't consider the jammers.
Mach, II, DDP, or Mass Diesel seem to be the favorites of the new age injectors. When I think of jammers, diesel dynamics, and bully dog injectors, heat and smoke come to mind more than power.
I run DDP's and have been extremely happy with both the results, and the customer service. Not to mention they run clean, hardly any smoke and the EGT's are pretty low with a properly matched turbo.
For a set of DDP 110hp injectors they are $700 according to their site.

I believe I paid $399 for my jammer stage 5's just for comparison.
If money is no object or you have to have the best injectors, then by all means go for the F1 Mach injectors. I've never heard a bad thing about them. I'm sure they are great. Some people are on a bit tighter budget though. It all depends on how much you're willing to spend.

Don has alot of orders to fill so I would expect him to be backed up, and I'll never take anything away from him. I just also like to let people know he isn't the only one with a decent product.

Maybe for the CR injectors, but not for our trucks.

Hey thanks guys, I had no idea about the stuff I'd need to do before installing the injectors, so that helped a lot. I won't be on a tight budget for injectors, I want to get real good ones that deliver the most power for towing, but still relatively safe. So would you recommend getting only the nozzle and putting it on the stock body, or getting the body as well?

I got a set of stage 2 jammer tips I used the stock bodies that had 150K on them Ive never had any problems with them. The egts have been great even with the puck. I dont know what kinda HP or TQ I'm making but the jammers are good injectors. And they didnt break the bank. just my .02c.
