Injectors Or Delivery Valves???

I have read alot on this, but still have a hard time macking a true decision. I recently bought a 96 to replace my 94, and am now trying to fix the 96 up before selling the always good to me 94. My question is, with a #10 and the 96 already having 181 delivery valves, what should be added next for more power? I am torn between laser cuts and 370's or a used set of 215's. I won't be able to upgrade turbos in the near future, but think the new truck -might- have the bank$ 14cm waste gated housing on it, not sure though. The 215's look good because some people claim a little better mileage, power and no added idle smoke (might evan be able to get a set used???). The lasers sound good because some of the guys who have them realy like them. The 370's would be great if I ever did upgrade turbos. What do you all think???

Thanks Alot

Sorry for the long post.

I was also thinking D.V.'s for my truck, but i have 215's already, and those will go in before i buy anything else when i get a converter. Ill probably just buy 181's anyways. I know 370's will bring it to life, as my buddy has a set, but EGT's will be warm for sure. Im hoping the 215's will add 40hp or so. I might still throw in some D.V.'s after the 215's, and i think that would be a great running combo.

I have laser cuts from J.R adkins and I say get them. for the money they will give you a lot more bang for your buck. I gained 100HP dyno proven just by switching out the DV's. 250 buck for 100HP is sweet. 317 281 3130

OK 100 hp is awesome, but a 96 auto has 181's in it right? If so would the increase be the same??

How much does everyone think that each mod would give?
Estimated cost?

215 injectors

laser cuts

370's or small

edm's (if I could find them)

No you won't get the exact same #'s. Aaron's (DM01) truck is a 94 5spd that has a 175HP pump on it. However I can tell you from experience that you will notice a BIG power difference in JR's Laser Cut DV's. I have a 215HP pump that had a "Hot" JR plate in it and 370's and I still notice a BIG difference in power. I would guess roughly 70-75HP on a 180 Pump since JR said they are supposed to be like 60HP on a 215 Pump.

Thanks for your reply.

So if I have a #10 plate 3/4 forward and add laser cuts - I should be around 300-325 hp?

Where would I be with a #10 plate 3/4 forward and add 215 injectors?

What if I go all out #100 plate 3/4 forward, laser cuts and 215 or 370 injectors???

can't remove the grin just thinking about it - I want to pass some strokers

One of my friends has a 95 12v with 370's and a large set of DV"s (not sure how big). I don't reccomend this setup with a stock charger . It would spool incredibly fast and hit around 50-55lbs of boost, not a good thing really. The EGT's were also a problem and you had to stay out of it alot which isnt much fun. He now has an HY35 with a 21cm exhaust housing which helps some but now it blows intercooler boots all the time . If you are looking for TONS of smoke this is a good setup .

with a 180 pump you would run a little hot but you can tune it down with you fuel plate. I would put it at stock position and try it out. if its too hot either slide it a little or go for full power and a new turbo
