could be your torque converter. i have a suncoast triple disc and if the truck is cold it will stall. i found that if you shift into gear right after you start it up, it won't stall, or just let the truck warm up if you have time

I had the same problem going from Mach 1.5 to Mach 5's. The convertor is
too tight. I only had the problem in the winter months. After the second winter, and several races later, it "loosened up" and didn't stall anymore.
After the Mach 7's went in, I broke the input shaft and needed a new converter. Now, its right back to stalling just when it's cold weather. If you don't have time to let it warm up, raise your RPM's a little with brake held, slide it in gear, and it should take off fine.

Its just the tight converter, my 99 will stall anytime its below 40 if you dont let it idle for a minute or 2. I got in the habit of goin to putting it in neutral then in gear after the minute or 2. Any time at all when i put it in gear the lights dim for a second from it bein so tight, also when i have to shift into park i have to hit neutral first or it will grind the heck out of the park fork whiich sounds horrible.

hmm, my manual tranny truck never dies. Sometimes when my boots are wet and I'm sitting at a light in second gear my foot will slip off the clutch and Blue still won't die, just spins a little, chugs, and then idles along. Heck, I can crawl up hills too steep for traction at idle in low range and it keeps on a chuggin.

But all kidding aside, lots of guys with aftermarket torque converters complain about cold weather in gear stall when the fluid is cold. Just something you gotta live with. You can always drive around with two feet when the fluid is cold and extra thick.
