i have a 2000 Ram 2500 with an Edge Juice Module. THe engine is misfiring at around 1500 rpms, usually about 30-40 mph. i changed the fuel filter 2 days ago, it idles perfectly and all levels of the juice work the way they should. it does the same thing if i set the module to stock. it will kick for a few strokes and then resume firing. there is no lack of power after or before that, just 1400-1700 rpm. any ideas?

 

maybe check fuel pressure. are you running the factory lift pump?

 

fuel pressure is good, checked it twice and the module reads it at a constant 18-20 psi. yes, the lift pump is stock.

 

Are you checking it under load?

 

yeah, my buddy is a diesel mech and he thinks an injector might be bad, but the question is which one injects the fuel at that specific rpm and how do i know its bad. so i dont know, but i dont wanna let it go too much longer.

 

Injector failures on these trucks are pretty rare. HPCR trucks, yes-- but not early 24Vs.

Far more likely that it's the injection pump. See if you can get this pump tested before just throwing parts at it.
