Assuming it's the 2000 3500 in your signature, it's pretty straightforward on a 24V.
You WILL need some lesser-used tools, and the whole job is pretty much metric. You'll need a 19mm stubby or crowsfoot wrench for the injector lines. The valve cover bolts are 10mm, and it has to come off. With the valve cover off, you can see the little 8mm bolts that hold down the injector retaining bars.
There are some good directions floating around the internet that were originally done by Diesel Dynamics, one of the first shops to modify injectors for more power.
A search here will turn up a link to the .pdf. I think it may also be over at www.cumminsdatabase.com
EDIT: try here: http://www.cumminsdatabase.com/read.php?id=7
