ok, i didn't think it would be that easy. so with a stock turbo just how big could i get? another ? i have is when it comes to towing, i don't want to loose trailer cappacity. does this only happen when you start fooling with timeing? i am new to bombing these, as i only messed with gas motors before. here's what i'm trying to do. i want to make about 300-400hp. i saw a 'big g' modual that says it's good for 140hp. but to me, stuff that plays around with the ip spooks me a little. if i need to have a new turbo, i'd get the bd twin kit[good choice?]. all help is really appreciated:]

Do you have any gauges? If not you need pyro and fuel psi. One you start messing around you need them to stafe safe. If you dont have them get yourself the edge juice w/attitude. Best bang for the buck. If you got gauges and have the superchips go with some mach 1.6s from F1 diesel. But your weakest point is gonna be the stock trans. In my honest opinion do some trans work and it will be a big surprise. A vuilt tranny from one of the big vendors makes more of a difference than 200 hp. Because in short time the 200hp will eat your tranny up and you ll be stuck gettin it built after it ruined your day and broke.

you could probably do some 100hp injectors comfortably, till you upgraded to twins(bd), then you would want some 150hp injectors or more.
and YES BD twins are a good setup(good choice), search around and you will find them for around $3k or under(slightly).
BTW the big G is just a quadzilla rebadged, i dont think you would get 140hp out of it honestly IMO.
good luck in your choice.

i saw them in jegs.[twins] look cool. as for the 'big g' i know nothing about them, just saw140hp and said wow. i think what i may do is get the 150s[or larger ], not install yet, then when i can I'll get the twins and do it all at once. on a side note, i have herd rumors some time ago that dodge 'detuned these motors'. to save the tranny or something, any truth to that?
thanks for info

From what I've heard that superchips doesn't do boost fooling so if you swap some big sticks in you'll be able to throw overboost codes. How about a tst box instead, then you could just turn it down/ off when towing.
Then start saving for the tranny, sticks, twins,.....

A comp set on the lower fueling levels would be good. I put an ez and 125 horse injectors on a stock trans and blew threw it like it wasn't there. The tips are the best buy and are pretty good. Mine are the stage 4's but they don't smoke as much as the 2.5 mach's in my wifes truck. You could go with the comp turned off for the boost fooler and maybe get by on the injectors if you are easy on the convertor.
Dieselrob is right on about the transmission, it drives like a completely different truck.
