Mach injectors. The best injectors at any price-- period. They just happen to be reasonably priced.

How big depends on what you're doing with your truck. Towing, go with the small 85hp injectors (mach 1.5).

If you're mostly just looking for hp, then try some mach 2s.

If you're going to be upgrading the turbo, then you can go pretty big-- mach 3 or 3.5.

I second HOHN- I'm running Mach3s. You will have to take care of your clutch though, and depending on usage of the truck and injector size you'll have to go for more turbo than you have now to keep the EGTs in check. (I hope that you have gauges).

Both are EMD's

You need to decide where you want to end up, power-wise, before others can make suggestions. Had my Mach 2's tested before installing and they were matched perfectly. Don't know about quality control on the Jammers?

If your going to have bigger injectors and your PM3, plan on future spending for a clutch and maybe a bigger turbo, unless you want to have to control EGT's with your foot a lot of the time.

rjohnson- DonM's Mach injectors are EDM's (At least he sells them as EDMs)
http://f1diesel.com/page1.html is the homepage.
I don't have any experience with dd's jammers, just the older ones.
Let's say that I am very content with my injectors and they had no ncrease in low boost smoke, no decrease in mileage and no observable wear for the last 130 000 kms. So I think I can recommend them.

Machs? Extrude Honed? Surely you jest! Don does offer honed injectors, but not for sale to the general public. You have to call him and request them.

If you order F1 diesel from www.powerbypoole.com or www.sourceautomotive.biz or www.wildcatdiesel.com they are without a doubt EDM injectors.

In addition, there's a lot more to making an injector than whether or not it's EDM. Number of holes, spray angles, pop-off pressure, rate-of-discharge, on and on and on.

While I have no personal experience with the Jammers (other than hearing rumors of how they based on someone else's work), I HAVE seen the incredible performance, mpg, and torque of the Mach injectors, and I would put them against anyone's injector. For a given HP, I'd be so bold as to say no other injector makes less smoke and more torque, or gives better mileage.

Again, I have no experience with the Jammers. I have seen no reason to even try them.

Mach 3's will give you a little more smoke and 25 hp more and still be very streetable.
See http://mysite.verizon.net/res06gkt/page1.html
I think prices listed there have come down a little but not sure.

dsl-nut,

The Mach 2's will make the same power as the Jammer 3's in all cases. Mach 2's generally give 450 rear wheel horsepower or more with an HX40 or a B-1 and a comp box.

If the turbo is stock....I suggest a Mach 1.5. The newest nozzle for the Mach 1.5 we began using this past month will come within 5 HP of a Jammer 3. They produce less smoke, more TQ and a smoother idle as well.

The newest Mach 1.5 is rated at 85 and you get every bit of that and then some.
