Question injecters

I have been slowly upgrading my truck and have been doing a lot of reading here and I am considering an Edge e-z and 275 injectors, I don't know which one is going to be first, but I have a couple of questions I would like to ask. First, about how much hp and tourqe will this combo produce? And there is a guy on E-Bay selling new Bosch 300 hp injectors, what is the difference between the 275 and 300's? I am towing a 5-w that weighs about 10-k, do's anyone see any problems with egt's with this combo?

You may want to do a search on injectors first. Bigger injectors mean more EGT's, if you have the HO motor the injectors will shine better than a box, SO motors boxes are better. Do you have gagues yet? That is the first thing I would install. Some say the EZ, and 275 combo is the best towing combo going.

There is no difference between the 275 and 300 HP injectors. These injectors come on the Cummins motor that is placed in motorhomes and fire trucks. The old motor used to be rated at 275HP and now cummins rates the motor at 300HP. Thats where you get the two variances in numbers. As far as heat goes you mide get a little hot pulling hills without exhaust and intake mods. Put could probably pull it off if you dont have the hy-35 turbo. Be sure to get gauges so you wont have to try and guess as to wether or not you are running to hot. You also might want to consider a superchips tuner for what your doing. You will get the timing increase from both, and the tuner costs about $150 dollars less. Tuner also has three levels unlike the ez where you can only control low-boost fueling. Downsides to the tuner is that it does not act as a boost fooler and you will be limited to just over twenty lbs. of boost. Ez becomes good combo with a plugged wastegate. and thats probably what most people would reccomend.

The EZ/275 combo is probably the best towing combo out there. Fill in your signature with your truck so we know what you have and so we can help you better. Go to USER CP at the top of the page.

Go with the EZ first than the 275s, nice combo for towing.
With your 4 inch exh. I wouldn't worry to much about high EGTs.
I'm straight piped and I don't get over 1150

It's foolish, imho, to spend money on 275s ($350) when a Mach 1 EDM is just a hair more.

The mach 1s are 60hp vs the 35-40 you'll get from the 275s. No EGT issues with the mach 1s-- you can use stock intake and exhaust.

I installed the mach 1s in a buddy's truck-- it was also an HO 6-speed like mine. His truck felt every bit as strong as mine (but I have 75hp dd2s!). Best of all, his smoke was non-existant in our 6K elevation! (Cheyenne, WY).
Best of all, on a long trip to SD and back, he reported mileage of 21-23 (empty)! Worst tank w/crosswind was 21!

I was BLOWN AWAY by the performance of the mach 1 injectors. If you want a little more, then the mach 1.5s are out there, but they cost a lot more.

For $500, you can't beat the Mach 1s. Call Rod at www.wildcatdiesel.com and he will hook you up.

Thank you all for the input and the patience, been lurking around here for quite a while, trying to obsorb all I can. I think I am going to go with the EZ first, as soon as I get my bucks together and then look at injectors.
