I remember when I first got into diesels, I was infatuated by black smoke... I wanted to be able to stop traffic (and I could)

now I try to drive with as little as possible!

don't get me wrong, if someone ticks me off in traffic, I'll squid them out pretty bad, but we're talking once every few months... Just smoking out for fun is juvenile and obnoxious (I was too in the past! )

I think your right forrest. I was getting to where I was almost all grown up. Now when i get home in sept after 7 months away from the truck I might turn into a kid again though. I like my jammer V's, Alot of people dont but they do me just fine. They smoke more than i need too.

My big sticks aren't for sale. I planning on building a faster spooling big air set of twins so I can run them on higher power levels with lower levels of smoke. I'm thinking of running for now a set of twins (HX35/3B) and use mach 3's. I ran a set of BD130's last year with my current twins. Very low levels of smoke and egt's didn't get above 1200deg's. I'm guessing my power was around the 500 mark. Not the big power that my mach 6's have. I'm talking PDR into building me a set of garrett twins. Liquid cooled with ball bearings. I was told that this fall they will be coming out with a new line of twins that are easily interchangable with each other. One day you can have a set of sled puller twins and the next you could run a set of towing twins.

i wouldnt mind having a setup like that. it would be nice to have a set to go "play " and then a set to have somthing managable on the roads. i might have to wait a little longer and do that instead of what my original plans were.
