Didnt mean to cry. Finland is very special place to live.
In a space like Illnois lives something like 5 million people, and most of them in Helsinki. (witch is in the southcoast of the country) I however live 60 miles to the north from Helsinki.
I could move to Helsinki, but realestate prices go up the roof in 60 miles to south. So my 4 bedroom house and big garden is worth of 1 room flat in helsinki.
Allso there is a mousehole in the tax system. If you are in the constructionbusiness you can get tax refund at your dayly driving costs.
That makes me so happy.
Diesel still costs about 7 bucks/gallon here.

First long trip in my truck and I recorded about 21 mpg! This was about a 450 mile trip in 90-100 degree weather. About half was interstate, and I kept the speed just under 65 mph the whole time, using cruise control. The other half was mountainous highway with lots of slow curves and steep passes, with speeds generally around 50 mph. Truck was unladen, burning pump diesel with a splash mix of maybe 10% biodiesel. Pretty pleased overall!

Saw 46 on the lie-o-meter today! Of course I reset it at the top of a 3 mile hill and didn't touch the fuel at all! Normally about 17 - 18 hand calculated, 90 mile round trip to work mostly highway, 55-75 mph.

Got 20 mpg on the next tank, again hand-calculated. Another extended highway trip in very hot weather, running AC the whole trip. This time a big mountain pass, about 8,000 feet, with nearly the entire trip above 4,000 feet. Again kept the speed 65 mph or lower, cruise control whenever possible.
