Okay, I'll take the bait. How is one noticably slower to spool than another? The're based off the same model and have questionable if any significant differences that would make them noticably different as long as you're talking about 12cm vs 12 cm housings or 14 vs 14.
Is it the larger exhaust of the superPS over the original PS?
I could always be wrong.

I'll tell you what I want! I want a custom 2 speed turbo. It would spool like a 9 housing on the bottom end, and the flow like a 14 on the top end. I think I know how to do this and will give it a shot this summer. Just think almost no smoke and low EGTs.

the 14 cm housing is a little slower given everything is the same but on the sps 62 the exaust wheel is 71 mm vs 65 on the regular ps 62 and the larger wheel is heaver and takes longer to get moving botton line is this if you want fast spool get the ps62 with a 12 cm housing but if you want top end gooling gr=et the sps62
The silver bullet line uses a different turbine than the two mentioned above. Its a little bigger and has one more blade than the 71 mm wheel. The sb turbine is supposed to offer a broader powerband than the sps line. There's been a few folks running the 66 version with good success and I look forward to your feedback on the 62
