I want my lift to grow!
I currently have the skyjacker 4.5" lift on my truck which replaces the front coil springs but I want to lift it a little more for a bigger tire. I was wondering if anyone has added a 2"-3" spacer in the front and lifted the rear with a taller block or an add-a-leaf.
Are there two many problems associated with this? With a 2", I believe the control arms would be fine. should I just put on the skyjacker 7"
or is it going to ride like smashed ***

The SJ 4.5" gives you new arms, and the top arms have a bracket that bolts to the axle to raise the mounting point of the top arm. Because of this any additional lift will throw in an odd caster angle. You could do it, but I would not. If you are really into SJ, you can get just the front box kit that includes the long arms for around $600 or so, and then get larger springs. I don't like the short/long arm setup of the SJ kit so I bought the Dick Cepek long arm kit for $500. If you are going over 6" I recommend some sort of long arm system regardless of who makes it.
