I want to make my 96 smoke
hi my name is john,
i have a 96 ctd, i moved the fuel plate forward, and adjusted the starwheel slightly. I have gauges and the stacks are soon to be on the truck. I want smoke , what else is new around here? Im 16 and addicted, oh boy, i am makeing my parents so happy... But all id like now would be a little smoke but not too much cuz im up here in boston, and i dont need any tickets hahaha... Bringing some of the redneck world up here and turning heads while it was stock!!!

and u want more smoke this is the way to go. First of all, you go ahead and bump your fuel plate forward. I have already sent u in a PM how to do that when we last talked. Once you slide your plate forward, you can look under the AFC housing where you will see a larger sized hex key that can go. You can go ahead and remove that and loosen the starwheel by turning it towards the engine, or clicking it upwards I believe. A stock fuel plate will not produce much smoke in comparison to a zero or a 100 but it will be like night and day difference powerwise. Expect a 30 or so rwhp gain just from pushing the plate forward..

try a zero plate. Grind ur stocker flat, and get that pyro in before u do! See my gallery for pics..

Why do you WANT smoke? Smoke indicates a poor tuneup or a laggy turbo or poor driving skills or all of the above.
If you want smoke for its own sake, save your engine and just install a post-turbo oil drip
