i put it on anyway today
well even without 6th gear i put the SB on today and WOW
it rocks!!!! i dont notice it being any slower in spoolup than the B1, and its considerably larger when you looked at both compressor and turbine, but then i dont notice it spooling any faster either.
what i did notice tho was that the truck is smoother, doesn't sound like its being over spun. before when pulling hard thru 3k the truck sounded like it was just maxed out, but now it really sounds and feels like it can take alot more. the truck really pulls hard too, its no neck breaking rocket or amazing speed demon but without 6th gear i can still get it up to 95 by spinning the truck up into the 3400rpm range and its STRONG all the way up to those rpms.
lastly, the EGTs...they are way lower. with the TST on 6 (9 shudders too much) and smarty on 9, in 5th gear I can not get it past 1450* even when spinning to 3400rpm and maxing the truck out.
all in all im loving this thing! thanks Forrest!!!!

yea....it spools faster and hits WAY harder than the B1...at least when there is cool 40* air outside like there is tonight. i was coming home from the gf's and witht he TST on 4, smarty on 9, the truck almost got outta hand in the lower gears. it would just rocket up to 42psi and break the tires loose.
i think tomorrow im gonna tighten the screw on the boost elbow, see what happens when i take it to 50-52psi

i dunno yet...too hard to watch the gauge and the tach and the road. if i can get some open road tonight ill get you some more info.
all i know is it ROOOOOOCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKS...like everyone said, the needle sweeps kinda slow to 10, then all the sudden it just rips to 42 (soon to be 50 when i adjust it)
cruising is much smoother, quieter and less boost to maintain a certain speed. now I really need that tranny.
