Talking I might start a war, but

Dear members,
My brother and I were discussing future plans for our next trucks. Hopefully, I will be getting a 1997 3500 4x4 5sp Ext cab. With any luck, his will be a 2002 3500 4x4 5sp Quad cab. Below are our dream mods and bombs. In the end, after these mods have been made, which truck will have more power?
My 12v:
DDP Stage 4 Injectors (140 HP)
HTT 62/14
100 plate
191 DV's

His 24v:
F1 Mach 4's (150)
HTT 62/14
Smarty w/ TST stack

If anybody can suggest a better turbo, please do! Give me your opinion and advice! Thanks a million!

With all the mods to support the power, I think his truck will have more power. His will probably be in the 525-550hp range.

I'm guessing that the 24v will be in the low 400's measured at the wheels.

I know its a different comparison, but the 93 in my sig with all the mods walks all over the 2000 with mach 1.6's and a smarty. Starting stop is no contest, but even rolling down the road it will roll past like I'm not even trying.

What I would do with your 12v is I would get the DDP 4's or new era 435's ($400, and fuel about the same as or more than stage 4's) 100 plate, laser cut DV's (191's aren't that big of a step up from the stock 181's) and then get something like an HT3B or an S400 and use one of them as the primary charger and your stock HX35 for the top charger and make a set of twins.

the 24v will have close to 500hp

Ph4tty here has mach4's, smarty, and a phat shaft 64 turbo with a HRVP44 and made 490ish hp without the TST...so subtract the HRVP44 and add a TST and its gonna be right around the same 500hp level assuming you have all the trimmings to go with it

you know that he wants 150 hp injectors and a 160 hp tst and a 50(ish) hp smarty which equals 360 add that to the stock flywheel hp and youll get right around 500 - 525 hp at the rear wheels

The TST is supposed to be good for 160 h.p. ?

I think he would have more power, but not by much, your setup that you like does not include PUMP timing, add the timing to your setup and you will better distribute that power on the top end 17 degrees or so will work for that setup, you also dont have a governers spring kit, which is a big no no, the truck will rev higher with one of those and better distribute the power that your engine will already be making. Other than that, you have a 12V thats pretty close to the 475-500 horse range....

for the amount of fuel you would be pushing a phatshaft66 would probably be your best bet if you want a single, if you want twins, just throw a 3b under there and call it a day.. U might also want to consider Laser cut DVs..

Other Hi power options if u plan to rev high
Port and polished head
Marine over gasket
60 lb valve springs titanium keepers and retainers
