I just got back from my first TRACK run

I just got back from my first track run, and the truck did not run as fast as I would have hoped. The modifications on the truck can be seen in the signature. My best run went as follows: 60’ = 2.4999, 1/4 = 15.597, MPH = 90.08. The time is not what I expected, as it is kind of high, but the MPH are that of a 14 second run, am I correct? I tried to spool up the turbo to about 10psi on one run and managed to run a 20.5 because I smoked the tires all the way across the finish line, LOL. The track conditions were fairly poor. It was extremely foggy and misty, and everything was damp and moist. Do you think if the track was bone dry I would have a better chance with spooling up the turbo and not smoking the tires so far? Any input would be appreciated.

Run sounds good. Depends on how misty it was, as you know don't spool it up as much. My limited slip worked great on my passes and kept my time down. If I power brake too much and spool up to 10, I will burn the tires into 3rd gear. So Better weather, better time.

For the conditions at the track I’d say you did great.
Now lets see (dually + hard compound rubber + high torque) x wet track = lots of spin (modern diesel truck math). Yep that looks right to me. Bet she will run like a scalded dog on a warm sticky track, now if there was a way to transfer some of the weight to the rear.
What would be a good softer compound tire (for use at the track) for our trucks?
