I just bought an HTT 64-71-13 SS, have questions.
I just bought an HTT 64 71 13 stainless turbo and a set of DDP 4's for my 94 12 valve. It has 4.10 gears, and 35's.. Will this combo be able to tow a trailer in the 5-6,000 pound range without EGT or surging issues? Is this a decent combo for daily driving. I wanted something slightly larger than the 62 65 12 I ran on one of my other 12 valves. It made 569 and was peppy, though it just ran out of air on top.. I'd like a solid 600 with good driveability. Did I make a bad decision?

Well your 4:10's should help alot, with the DDP4's you might need to keep the RPM's up and watch the temps but towing that weight It should be doable.

Brad, I run a single 64/71/14 on my truck and have towed with it. It gets pretty toasty getting up to speed but settles out to around 900-1100* This was with a load of around 10,000 lbs on mostly flat ground, not sure how it would do in the mountains. I suspect I could pull hills with over-drive locked out.
