I managed to wait 4 months and my BCD cover just got here today. I got the nasty 0216 code a while back so as soon as a "new" VP's in, it's AWN

 

I am going to do my best to break that vp before march when the warranty goes off.

Disconnect your lift pump and run the comp on 5x5 on an 1/8 tank and you should destroy it in no time.

Dave you knew it wouldn't last, I got the bug again. Dave did you have a breakdown on the dually, i thought i heard something about a valve spring. Anyway i hope you got it fixed.

you must be talking about this and this. that was a while ago. a week after i put them in. wasn't to happy about then, and i'm still not real happy about it now. anyway, you play, you pay, right? i learned that buying parts from cummins is worth it.

 

You are lucky as all get out that the valve didn't dissapear into the cyl and hammer a piston. Glad you got her running.
